Safety Management The services we provide often have a level of risk involved that are inherent within the outdoor industry. Through our professionalism, our levels of accreditation, and activity standards, we take every provision and precaution to remove the potential for risk and harm associated with outdoor and adventure activities. We take considerable care to effect positive experiences, and look to provide support, encouragement and learning through our instruction to enhance the experience that every participant receives. Our Responsibility By law we are required to have insurance for Public Liability to operate our services. We are also currently one of the only organisations in South Australia to be registered under Workplace Services for our activities. To maintain our high standard and level of professionalism, we are required by our insurers to have all participants (or their guardians) read, sign and understand their ‘Acknowledgement of Activity Risk’. This form asks that the participant (or the guardian of the participant) acknowledge the inherent risks, and agree to take responsibility for their personal safety and actions. Our company still takes responsibility for the provision of a duty of care, and with providing safe instruction and group management. We acknowledge that in any instance where negligence might be found, our company would remain liable and accountable. To assist in an instance of emergency, we also ask that participants complete a form of ‘Medical History’.
